How FloorConnect works

From posted to filled in three steps

FloorConnect gives flooring stores and independent installers one clear workflow: build the right profile, match the right work, and connect through a private offer. No bidding board and no lead-buying race.

One workflow for both sides of the job

Stores bring the work and the scope. Installers bring the skills, coverage, and capacity. FloorConnect helps the two sides meet with the details visible before anyone accepts.

1

1. Create your account

Sign up as a store or installer and complete your profile.

Stores add their business details and prepare to post installation, prep, demo-only, or haul-away work.

Installers add their skills, experience, service areas, pay preferences, and required qualification or insurance documents. Requirements vary by state, so onboarding guides the documents that apply.

2

2. Post or receive jobs

Stores use a guided work order to capture the scope, flooring type, photos, location, pay, timing, and job details. A clear work order gives matching enough information to find a useful fit.

Installers receive private offers for jobs that match their profile, coverage, skills, and preferences. The offer shows the relevant scope and pay before the installer decides.

3

3. Get connected

The matching engine checks eligibility and ranks potential matches using factors such as distance, completed-install experience, reliability, and how the job’s pay compares with installer minimums. Offers go out in waves:

  1. The highest-ranked eligible installers receive the first private offer window.
  2. Each installer can review the scope and accept or decline without competing in a public bid.
  3. If the offer window closes without an acceptance, the next eligible wave may be invited.
  4. The first installer to accept is connected with the store, both parties are notified, and the work can begin.

Why offers go out in waves

Waves keep the process focused and fair. The store does not have to call a long list of crews, and installers do not have to race to submit the lowest number. Each private offer is based on job fit, location, qualifications, reliability, and pay — with the complete scope available before acceptance.

FloorConnect is not promising that every job will fill instantly. If no suitable installer is available, the job can remain open while the store adjusts the pay or coverage area and the system looks for close matches.

What each side sees

Stores see

  • A guided job-posting flow with reusable templates for repeat work.
  • Matching based on service area, skills, qualifications, and availability signals.
  • The applicable store fee shown before posting.
  • Notifications when an installer accepts.
  • A completion and verification workflow before the platform fee is charged.

Installers see

  • Private offers instead of public bidding.
  • Full scope, photos, timing, location details, and pay before accepting.
  • No lead fee to receive an offer.
  • 0% commission on the pay they earn.
  • Profile and compliance tools, including document and expiration tracking.

How payment and verification fit in

The installer is paid directly by the store using the payment method the parties agree on, such as ACH, check, or Venmo. FloorConnect’s separate store platform fee is collected after the job is completed and verified. FloorConnect does not take a commission from installer pay.

Verification supports marketplace trust, but it is not a substitute for the parties’ own agreements, due diligence, licensing, insurance, tax, or legal responsibilities.

How it works FAQ

Is FloorConnect a bidding platform?

No. FloorConnect sends private offers in ranked waves. Installers do not compete in a public bid or buy leads.

What is included in a private offer?

The offer can include the job scope, photos, flooring type, timing, location details, and pay so the installer can decide whether the work is a fit before accepting.

How are installers matched?

FloorConnect checks coverage, skills, qualifications, and pay preferences, then ranks eligible installers using factors such as distance, experience, reliability, and job-pay fit. Offers are sent in waves.

What happens if nobody accepts?

The job can stay open while the store is notified. The store may adjust the pay or expand the coverage area, and FloorConnect can suggest close matches when available.

How does payment work?

The store pays the installer directly using the method the parties agree on. FloorConnect collects the store’s separate platform fee after the job is completed and verified, and takes 0% commission on installer pay.
